Abstract:
SUMMARY Occurance of Malignant Fihrous Histiocytoma (MFH) of the spermatic cord as a primary source is so rare that since I 967 Just 12 of such cases have heen reported (4,8, 10). MFH is one of the pleomorphic soft tissue Malignant tumors which has been studied for first time by Ozzello and Co workers on 1963. The Tumor ong1nates from primary Mesenchymal cells which have both histocytic & fibroblastic properties (2). From the anatomic stand point tumor occurs 2/3 to 3/4 of times on extremities especially lower extremities. The other sites of occurance with lower prevalence are truck-shoulderretropritonum and as the very rare sites are spermatic cord and mandible. This report represent a very rare case of MFH of the spermatic cord which is the 13th reported case since 1967 which has been seen by the primary diagnosis of the Inguinal hernia.
